Position Overview

Are you a hard-working individual who has a keen interest in plants? If you enjoy a friendly, fast-paced environment where creating an awesome customer experience is always the goal this might be the job for you!

Languages: English

Education:  Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: customer service experience, POS experience, and plant knowledge are considered a definite asset

Work setting: Retail business

Wage: 16.75 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

Tasks:

• Operate cash register

• Process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments

• Scan items

• Receive payment for goods or services

• Suggestive selling

• Stock shelves and clean counter area

• Greet customers

• Wrap or place merchandise in bags

• Weigh produce and bulk foods

• Provide customer service

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge:

• Electronic cash register

• Interac machine

• Price scanner

Area of specialization

• Plant knowledge and identification
