Following the brutal murder of hairdresser Maxine Peacock in 2003, Rovers Return cleaner Harry Flagg raffled a signed Manchester United FC football shirt to raise funds for an appropriate memorial on the Street. The proceeds were spent on a bench, which was duly placed outside the salon Maxine’s place of work since 1995. Maxine’s widower Ashley gave an emotional speech at the unveiling of the bench in front of the assembled neighbours. 1 x Figurine; 1 x deed card; 1 x colour branded gift box. Not a toy or children's product. Since then, the bench has been a popular port of call to countless residents seeking a place to gather their thoughts or plan a dastardly deed. In 2005, it was the scene of Ken’s rain-drenched proposal to ex-wife Deirdre – which she finally accepted, having refused him many times before
